Technological Breakthroughs Overcome Bottlenecks in Mountainous Trunk Transportation
The Sichuan-Chongqing-Hubei section traverses rugged mountains with steep slopes, sharp bends, and complex terrain, posing severe challenges to the range, stability, and refueling efficiency of electric heavy-duty trucks. To address this, the project innovatively adopted Qiji chassis battery-swapping technology: a low center of gravity design enhances vehicle stability on rough roads, and the accompanying battery-swapping stations enable efficient battery swaps in just 5 minutes, maintaining reliable refueling even in extreme weather conditions. This combination of core technologies effectively solves the refueling pain points of new energy heavy-duty trucks during transportation, laying a solid foundation for the efficient operation of trunk logistics.
A Thousand-Unit Agreement Signed, Ushering in a New Era of Cost Reduction and Efficiency Improvement
Witnessed by the attending guests, representatives from CNHTC and Bashu Logistics officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement for 1,000 chassis-based battery-swapping heavy-duty trucks. The 1,000 heavy-duty trucks signed in this agreement, along with the first batch of 200 delivered vehicles, will serve as pioneering transportation capacity in the Sichuan-Chongqing region and surrounding areas, validating the economic viability and feasibility of electric heavy-duty trucks in long-haul logistics. This contract not only serves as a bond for deepening cooperation between the two parties but also demonstrates their firm commitment to jointly promoting the large-scale development of green logistics.
The first batch sets off, a green fleet heads to the thousand-mile trunk line
During the vehicle delivery ceremony, representatives from China National Heavy Duty Truck Group (CNHTC) handed over a golden key symbolizing trust to representatives from Bashu Logistics. With the departure command sounding, the first batch of 200 electric heavy-duty trucks orderly entered the Shanghai-Chengdu trunk line, officially undertaking their green transportation mission.
Win-win benefits, synergistic improvement of economy and ecology
The Qiji battery-swapping Shanghai-Chengdu trunk line, with a one-way length of 1,250 kilometers in the Sichuan-Chongqing-Hubei section, is currently the longest new energy heavy-duty truck battery-swapping trunk line in China. Operational data shows that the operating cost per kilometer for electric heavy-duty trucks is approximately 0.62 yuan lower than that of fuel-powered vehicles, and a single vehicle can generate nearly 60,000 yuan in additional revenue per year for 100,000 kilometers. The ecological benefits are equally significant: the 12 bidirectional battery swapping stations built along the entire line can swap up to 360,000 kWh of electricity per day, with an estimated annual emission reduction of over 40,000 tons, equivalent to planting nearly 3 million trees, truly achieving a double harvest of economic and environmental benefits.

This completion not only showcases China National Heavy Duty Truck Group’s (CNHTC) products and technologies but also represents a successful practice of the “vehicle-battery synergy, network-vehicle linkage” model.
