The Law Enforcement and Inspection Bureau of the State Administration for Market Regulation recently announced the first batch of member companies for its “Protecting Brands” government-enterprise collaboration mechanism. Weichai Power and Sinotruk, subsidiaries of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, were selected. Only five companies in Shandong Province were included in this selection.
The “Protecting Brands” government-enterprise collaboration mechanism, spearheaded by the Law Enforcement and Inspection Bureau of the State Administration for Market Regulation, aims to implement the national intellectual property protection strategy. By strengthening collaboration between market regulatory authorities at all levels and trademark right holders, it aims to consolidate the efforts of all parties involved and form a powerful synergy to combat infringement and counterfeiting, thereby safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of consumers and ensuring fair competition in the market. This initial list of 60 companies was selected after recommendations from market regulatory authorities nationwide and a thorough review by the State Administration.
The inclusion of two Shandong Heavy Industry Group companies is not only a recognition of the group’s industry leadership and market influence, but also demonstrates the group’s long-term investment and unremitting efforts in product quality, brand building, and consumer rights protection. In the next step, Shandong Heavy Industry Group will take the construction of “thick heavy industry” as its goal, make good use of the government-enterprise collaborative governance mechanism, actively fulfill the responsibilities of its member companies, protect brand value and maintain innovative achievements with pragmatic actions, promote the establishment of a fair, orderly and more dynamic market order, and help build a “brand-strong country”.
